From this trip, I will carry with me the deep gratitude I have for those who have welcomed me into their lives and hold them as an example of steadfastness, knowing this will be needed as we protect one another from a barrage of attacks on human dignity in the months ahead. And I will find comfort in maqluba theology, knowing that the work of God, and indeed our work, is to turn the world right-side up.
